Privacy Policy

This page says what GovUnraveled.com collects and what it does not. The site tells you about the YouTube channel and lets you sign up for episode emails. It is not a government website.
Who runs this site
GovUnraveled is run by an independent creator based in the United States. The services we use (Cloudflare, Kit, and Google) are U.S. companies whose servers may process data in the U.S. and other countries.
Newsletter
The signup form asks only for an email address. It does not ask for your name. That address goes to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email provider. Kit sends a confirmation email first, so the subscription starts only after you click it. That is double opt-in.
Like most email platforms, Kit records whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can tell whether the welcome series and episode notes are useful.
You can unsubscribe anytime with the link in every email. When you unsubscribe, Kit stops emailing you but keeps your address on an unsubscribed list so you aren’t emailed again by mistake. To have the address deleted from Kit entirely, email us and we’ll remove it.

Analytics
GovUnraveled.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare describes this tool as cookieless and privacy-friendly. It says the beacon does not use cookies or other browser storage, does not fingerprint people by IP address, user agent, or other data, and does not track a person from this site onto other sites. Hosting and security
Cloudflare serves the site. To deliver pages and to protect them, Cloudflare may process ordinary request data, including your IP address and the browser’s user agent.
YouTube
Episode pages embed a YouTube player from youtube-nocookie.com. The player is part of the page when it loads. It is not held back until you click.
youtube-nocookie.com is YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. Once that player loads, or once you press play, YouTube and Google may set cookies or collect information under Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
What this site does not do
There are no accounts on this site. We do not sell personal information. There are no ads on the site.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have an email address for a child under 13, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, the UK, and the EEA, you may have rights to see, get a copy of, or delete personal information we hold. We extend those baseline rights to every visitor wherever they live.

If you email us
If you email govunraveled@gmail.com, we receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and what you write. That mail is handled through Google’s Gmail, and we keep it only as long as we need it to reply or handle your request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. The date on this version is October 18, 2026.
